World Hepatitis Day
According to World Health Organization (WHO), currently viral hepatitis influenced about 325 million people in the world; many infected people do not even guess about their disease and can unconsciously become a source of the virus for other people. According to the research, viral hepatitis kills more than 1.34 million people every year. They lead to die without knowing it. These two viral hepatitis B and Hepatitis C are a very challenging health issue. This leads to the root causes of liver cancer, and cause death. It has been assessed that more peoples are dying with hepatitis compared to death caused by tuberculosis and HIV. However, if peoples will get tested they can also find out about it.
World hepatitis day celebrated every year of 28th July. The main goal of the celebration is to motivate and inform people about the spreading threat of hepatitis of a different genotype.
What is Hepatitis?
Hepatitis is a dangerous liver disease caused by a viral infection. There are known viral hepatitis A, B, C, D and E, which is dangerous for the whole organism. Infection with types A and E is associated with non-compliance with the requirements of sanitary norms and rules, and infection with types B, C, D occurs through the blood.
The World Health Organization in May 2016 adopted the “Global Health Strategy for Viral Hepatitis in 2016-2021” (Global Health Sector Strategy on Viral Hepatitis, 2016-2021). The strategy aims to reduce the incidence of all types of viral hepatitis by 90% and mortality from them by 65% ??by 2030.
